Beaucraft Greeting Cards Lid. was established in 1945. At end of the World War II, an ex-military man returned home to Toronto and started creating cards by hand and selling them door-to-door out of the back of a wagon. His name was Don Mc Michael. His Family roots are connected to the famous McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg, Ontario.

Beaucraft built its foundation in Toronto servicing direct retail outlets. Growth developed quickly into the “Golden Horseshoe” area, then throughout Ontario, and eventually across Canada.

In August of 1984, Beaucraft acquired a humorous card company, “Kards By Kay”. After that, Beaucraft revolutionized the Canadian card market by introducing acetate greeting cards.

Currently, Beaucraft manufactures and distributes designs under license, with some of the top players in the greeting card industry. Approaching the new millennium Beaucraft has strategically structured itself and has started creating a network of freelance artists worldwide. This will ensure Beaucraft maintains strong creative properties and keeps us on the cutting edge of market trends.
